Software vendor Exact held its annual partner conference Exact Live 2014 in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 5th November. Since DBH IT Services is the official reseller of Exact Software in Hungary, Romania and Croatia, Sándor Erdei, CEO of DBH Group was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion about the challenges of managing international businesses.
His discussion partners were Janco Duvekort, manager of Dutch company Mandaat, Niels van Rees, strategic alliance manager of technology giant Samsung and Gabriel Grohmann, project manager of transport company A. Hartrodt.
“It is essential to be familiar with the language, culture and regulations of a country,” said Erdei, whose company has not only entered the Dutch and other European markets during its 20 years’ of existence, but has also signed two memorandum of agreements with innovative companies in Azerbaijan most recently. “Religion and the mentality of this country are very different than the standards we are used to here in Europe. You should not consider doing business on your own on this market. You will always need a partner and executive or state support to be able to start negotations and sign deals. But if you succeed, there are great opportunities, especially since it’s an emerging market with high capital potential.”
