Startup Week in Debrecen
The startup festival takes place for the first time on 16-20th November in Debrecen. The aim is to encourage IT projects and startup initiatives which have a potential to move into international markets and break out abroad.
Startup ecosystem in Debrecen (like DebTech Meetup, University of Debrecen Technology Transfer Center, DebrecenHUB, Innovative Generation Debrecen, EDC Debrecen, Debrecen Smart City and FIVOSZ – Young Entrepreneurs Association Hungary) has joined forces to become a more vibrant and innovative community or even an IT and startup capital.
Startup Week in Debrecen
First step of the initiative is the introduction of the startup and IT enterprises in Debrecen, including their success and experiences. The opening speech will be held by Dr. Sándor Erdei, CEO of DBH Group, on DebTech Meetup, since DBH Group has also contributed to the development of the region in the past 20 years. Moreover Dr. Sándor Erdei was born in Debrecen, thus his success is a great example for the aspiring entrepreneurs.
On Tuesday, Sándor Varga-Tarr, Business Unit Director will introduce the tailor-made incubation and acceleration program of DBH SeedStar which provides physical infrastructure and business services for startup companies, such as virtual or co-working offices, IT, financial and other services. The company through its global economic, business and professional networks and presence, offers the opportunity to enter the international market. The network of DBH Group reaches the market from the Netherlands through East Central Europe to Azerbaijan.
