Budapest Makers has launched

Budapest Makers is the online hub of the Budapest creative economy, and its aim is to connect every tech based startup, designer, manufacturer, investor and you, all Makers of the creative economy. Budapest Makers wants to increase the visibility of the ecosystem, and boost all of its industries, and DBH Group helps to accomplish this goal as a partner of the initiative.

The founding partners (Design Terminal, IBM Hungary, We Love Budapest) announced the website’s launch on 3rd June, 2016 on Brain Bar Budapest event at Akvárium Klub, Budapest.

The portal will provide you with comprehensive details from basic information and knowledge through infrastructure, events and jobs to resources that can support enterprising youngsters and their ideas or startups. Furthermore foreign investors could search among projects which are worth to invest in, and contact the startupers through the website.

Ferenc Pongrácz, Business Development Executive, Southeast Europe, IBM Hungary highlighted that the first similar website has launched in New York with the support of IBM, and since then almost 20 cities – London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague – joined the initiative and started their own portals. “The idea was born about a year ago, and our aim is that we make Budapest the No. 1. creative and innovative ecosystem in the region, and Budapest Makers portal has a crucial part in this process” – added Ferenc Pongrácz.
