On March 27, 2025, the\u00a0DECIDE \u2013 Digital Services for Circular Economy<\/strong>\u00a0project reached its midpoint. To mark the occasion and plan the next 12 months, the project\u2019s Steering Committee gathered in Budapest for an in-person meeting and the\u00a0First Year Review<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The meeting was opened by\u00a0M\u00e1riusz Jo\u00f3<\/strong>, Executive Director of\u00a0DBH InnoGroup<\/strong>, who emphasized the importance of the project in a rapidly changing world and within an evolving European Union. This was followed by\u00a0Severine Dommer<\/strong>, Project Manager from\u00a0ZD-BB, the<\/strong>\u00a0Lead Partner<\/strong>, who provided an overview of DECIDE\u2019s progress and financial status.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The\u00a0DECIDE project<\/strong>\u00a0aims to support companies and economic development organizations in identifying, developing, and optimizing\u00a0circular business models<\/strong>. This includes analyzing existing models, assessing their potential for improvement, and collaborating with businesses and stakeholders to create\u00a0new sustainable business solutions<\/strong>. The Steering Committee members discussed the project\u2019s deliverables, its timely execution, and the challenges ahead. One key concern was the shifting political and economic landscape, which has pushed circularity and carbon reduction to the background \u2013despite their growing importance for maintaining Europe’s\u00a0economic competitiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The\u00a0First Year Review<\/strong>\u00a0was conducted by the Managing Authority\u2019s delegates,\u00a0Project Officer Johannes Gabriel<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Financial Officer Mihajlo Cicmilovic<\/strong>, and was deemed highly successful. The Lead Partners provided a general overview of the project, while\u00a0Jan Fauser from Hochschule Reutlingen<\/strong>\u00a0demonstrated the\u00a0DECIDE Toolbox<\/strong>\u00a0and real-world case studies. Additionally, each\u00a0Work Package Leader<\/strong>\u00a0presented updates on their respective tasks. The representatives from the Managing Authority offered\u00a0valuable insights<\/strong>\u00a0and shared updates on the status and future of the\u00a0Interreg Project<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Looking ahead,\u00a0DECIDE\u2019s next steps<\/strong>\u00a0are clear: project partners will expand their network by\u00a0engaging more business partners<\/strong>\u00a0to co-develop\u00a0sustainable business models<\/strong>. The project will also focus on promoting and\u00a0disseminating circular business models<\/strong>, ensuring that successful strategies are\u00a0more visible and transferable<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Moreover, the upcoming launch of\u00a0DECIDE\u2019s AI-powered Value Chain Generator and Service Catalogue<\/strong>\u00a0will provide businesses across the\u00a0Danube region<\/strong>\u00a0with new opportunities to coordinate their\u00a0value chains<\/strong>, transition towards\u00a0circular business models<\/strong>, and collectively contribute to a more\u00a0sustainable future<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
