Carpooling has been around for a while, but with the rise of technology, there are now more options for users to take advantage of this new, sustainable, and cost-effective way of getting around.
For those who are not familiar with the term, pool car sharing is when a group of people shares a car for their commute or other journeys.
By sharing a car, they can split the cost of fuel, parking, and tolls.
There are many benefits of pool car sharing for those who wish to exploit them.
Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that it can help to reduce the carbon footprint of the user. If a business has a large number of employees who commute to work, then pool car sharing can make a significant difference. As well as being better for the environment, it can also save the person money on fuel and parking costs.
Companies whose employees tend to travel a lot, either to clients or suppliers should also take a second and think about the benefits of using pool car sharing, rather than contracting taxi or car rental companies.
Because another benefit of pool car sharing is that it can increase productivity. This is because employees can use the time that would normally be spent driving to and from work to catch up on work tasks. This can be especially beneficial for businesses with employees who have long commutes.
If you are considering implementing pool car sharing for your business, there are several things to keep in mind.
Firstly, it is important to determine whether there is a demand for this service from your employees. You may need to conduct surveys or gather feedback to find out if this is something that would be useful.
It is also important to establish ground rules and guidelines for using the pool car. For example, rules around cleanliness, safety, and driving behavior may need to be put in place.
Overall, pool car sharing is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way for businesses to support their employees’ commute. Reducing transportation costs and improving productivity can be a win-win situation for both the business and its employees.
The importance of the topic is shown by the fact that a comprehensive EU project was launched for these environmentally friendly efforts. The name of this project is SCALE.
What is SCALE?
SCALE is a Horizon Europe project which officially began in June 2022. Leading figures in the energy and electric vehicle (EV) industries, universities, networks, and leading European cities collaborated to investigate and test smart EV charging and Vehicle-2-Everything (V2X) solutions. As a result, a new energy ecosystem will take shape, utilizing the flexibility that EV batteries provide.
The strategic goal of SCALE is to develop an open system solution using a user-centric strategy, thereby lowering the demand for investments in power grid reinforcement through smart charging and V2X solutions.
It is a truly progressive and forward-thinking idea, plus it is a perfect match for serviced office industry, as well. We are happy to take part in this project in two of our locations, Budapest and Debrecen!
Introducing DBH Pool Car Services
We worked out a distinctive, location-based car-sharing program. Since our vehicles are owned by our DBH Serviced Offices in Budapest and Debrecen, we can provide responsible and reliable service and enjoy a much stronger bond with our clients.
This service is only available to DBH Serviced Office’s clients and other tenants of the office building where DBH business center is located. Our recently implemented system benefits our current clients but we are more than happy to extend this offer to any other interested parties.
The reservation process runs smoothly and is very similar to the meeting room reservation process. In addition to the standard per-minute rate, it is also possible to fulfill specific corporate requirements (monthly packages). DBH Serviced Office, for instance, can offer pre-scheduled fixed days when a client can use the vehicle exclusively and that is reserved for the requested events. Rent-a-cars are offered in all price ranges, from a more affordable, smaller vehicle to a more expensive, larger vehicle.
Let’s be part of a smarter future together! Coming this summer!
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101056874.
